CDL Program Timeline

Our CDL training program is designed to be completed within a 3-month timeframe, encompassing the following stages:

Enrollment and Permit Acquisition (Weeks 1-4)

• Complete enrollment paperwork, ELDT and medical examinations.

• Study for and obtain the commercial learner’s permit.

Classroom Instruction (Weeks 3-4)

• Attend 40 hours of classroom instruction covering traffic laws, safety protocols, vehicle inspection and vehicle operation

Behind-the-Wheel Training (Weeks 5-10)

• Engage in 40 hours of hands-on driving practice on local streets, highways, and interstates.

Preparation and Testing (Weeks 11-12):

• Review all materials and skills in preparation for the CDL road test.

• Schedule and complete the CDL road test at an approved testing site.

The time it takes to get a CDL can range 3 weeks to 6 months.
